Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0829606A1] The hinge halves (10,20) are joined together by a vertical pin (30), while a fixing component (4) on one or both halves is offset horizontally from the pin. Headed screws (16) inserted from the front pass through the component, and are concealed by a cover 12 bearing against the component front face (11) and at the side against the hinge area. The cover is locked in place by a spring-loaded pin (55) in it or the component and snapping into engagement with a recess (60). The cover has a fixing element which contains a further spring pin (57) working at right angles to the first one and engaging in a recess (58) in the side surface (14). The cover is slid into position along the front surface (11) of the component, with the second pin engaging in its recess. When the two side faces (14,15) butt against each other, the first pin (55) snaps into engagement with a recess (60) in the surface (11).
