[origin: EP0829902A2] An electric lamp has a bulb (1) with a pinch holding two lead-ins (2,3). There is a base or adaptor (6) providing a mounting for the pinch. It has two internal walls between which the pinch is fixed. The lamp has a pumping stem in the pinch. The pumping stem forms a bead on the pinch and at least one of the walls in the base has a corresponding recess. The thickness of the pinch outside this bead is smaller than the outer diameter of the bead. The pinch forms a snap fitting within the walls. It has at least one transverse groove and the walls have ribs which match it.
