Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0830908A2] The cutting tool may have a support element (24) engaging one mesh wire (12) at an intersection point between perpendicular steel wires (12,14) of the reinforcing mesh. It incorporates a relatively displaced pressure element which acts on the intersecting wire (14) upon operation of a lever mechanism or a hydraulic cylinder. A number of support elements and cooperating pressure elements may be operated simultaneously by a common hydraulic cylinder. They may be used for simultaneously cutting the steel wires at several intersection points.
