Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0831054A2] The scissor lift has at least one element mounted to pivot on the running gear. A protection cage (16) can be swivelled to reduce the ground clearance of the running gear. The cage automatically swivels by a transmission (24) when the platform (12) is extended or retracted. When the platform is extended the cage swivels into an area below the floor of the running gear, and into an area above it when the platform is retracted.
