[origin: EP0831437A2] The lock has a coin diameter matching device (7) fitted in the coin insertion slot (5), to allow the diameter of the acceptable coin (6) for operation of the lock to be altered, with a coin holder defined by the coin diameter matching device and a cooperating pivoted holder (17). The movement of the pivoted holder between the holding position and the release position is controlled in conjunction with the movement of the locking bolt (3), released by a blocking lever (3) when the coin is inserted in the holder. A second holder (31) in the path of the released coin allows the latter to be fed to a return slot or a collection container.
