Abstract (en)

The fuse has a fuse lead extending between a pair of opposing connectors (2a, 2b) and enclosed by a fuse housing (1). The connectors and the fuse lead are formed by a single sheet metal element laid in one half (1a) of the 2-part housing with the outer parts of the connectors projecting at either end. The element is secured by positioning devices while the second half (1b) of the housing is placed in a predetermined position over the first housing half. Pref. the positioning devices cooperate with the inner parts of the connectors, to prevent transverse and pivot movement, with locating pins projecting from the surface of the first housing part locating in openings provided at the inner ends of the connectors.
