Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9639511A2] The present invention provides nucleotide and amino acid sequences that identify and encode a novel C5a-like seven transmembrane receptor (CALR) expressed in human mast cells. The present invention also provides for antisense molecules to the nucleotide sequences which encode CALR, expression vectors for the production of purified CALR, antibodies capable of binding specifically to CALR, hybridization probes or oligonucleotides for the detection of CALR-encoding nucleotide sequences, diagnostic tests based on CALR-encoding nucleic acid molecules, genetically engineered host cells for the expression of CALR, and antagonists and inhibitors of the polypeptide CALR.
