Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0833407A2] The electrical power rail system has a carrier rail (1,1') that has a top section formed (2) with a connector (3) to receive an inserted conductor. The connector is in the form of a pressed metal contact element that is compressed to allow insertion of the conductor. The contact element extends to provide spring contact fingers (5,6) to receive a pin. Another contact element of the same type is set into the lower section of the housing. Relay units may be mounted on the rail.
