Abstract (en)

[origin: US6419480B2] A low NOx and CO emission heating apparatus provides for substantially separate fuel and combustion air feeds into a combustion chamber provided at one end with an exhaust gas opening and, at an opposite end with an elongated porous air distributor through which air is fed into the combustion chamber and into jets of fuel directed into the space between the air distributor and the side wall of the combustion chamber. Both air and fuel may be subjected to swirl to improve the combustion, by adjusting the inclination of the fuel nozzles.
