[origin: WO9637025A1] An electrical circuit breaker unit (10) has an isolator switch (14), a residual current device (16) for sensing a current imbalance, and circuit breakers (18) for sensing current overload. A thermal sensor (22) is mounted within the casing (12) of the unit and triggers the RCD (16) to automatically disconnect the supply if the temperature in the unit rises significantly above ambient, such as might be caused by overheating due to a bad connection in the circuit breaker unit.
