[origin: DE19606888C1] The stack of contents (110) is moved by at least one conveyor (100) from an entry (150) to an exit of the collector track. Units containing stacked goods can be added at one or more units. At least one dimension for each stack of goods is obtained at the entry to the collector track. Each such dimension is increased at each adding unit by an amount corresponding to the added unit of goods if such a unit has been added to the stack. Each dimension of each stack is compared with a nominal value for the conveyor, and the conveyor speed is controlled in relation to the result of the comparison.
