Abstract (en)
The rail head grinding disc shaper incorporates two or more cams (6, 8), the first having a profile which corresponds to the shape of the rail head and the second to a theoretical profile for final shaping of the rail head. The grinding discs can be in one piece or in segments, and in a variant of the design the apparatus can incorporate several cams to enable the rail head to be re-ground to the required shape in stages. Each can is mounted in a holder (9), is guided relative to a grinding disc and is pressed against the disc by a positioning cylinder (11, 12) with a movement detector.

Le dispositif comporte au moins deux cames de profilage, la première came ayant un profil correspondant au reprofilage de la surface de roulement et d'une partie du bourrelet et la deuxième came correspondant au profil théorique pour le reprofilage définitif du champignon du rail (1). <IMAGE>
