Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0836127A2] The system has a pair of sliding panels suspended on a rail with a motor (5) driven belt-loop for operation. The system has a controller (10) that has a number of microprocessor stages (31,32). Three of these (31) are individually connected to sensors, such as a proximity switch (26), and an opto-electronic detector (27) and limit switch (28) which monitor door position, etc. The other microprocessor monitors the function of the other three and, in the event of a fault, initiates an emergency action for the motor.
