The toothbrush has a handle (2) with a handgrip (3) and a neck (4) with a narrow section (6) located next to the brush head and forming a spring element. The neck is 15 to 30% of the overall length of the brush handle, and is half as wide as the handgrip at its widest point. The narrow section has a length of 1 to 3 cm, and at least the neck consists of cellulose ester. The cellulose ester may be a cellulose propionate or a cellulose acetopropionate. The brush neck may be round or elliptical, has a width of 3 to- 6 mm, and is inclined at an angle of 1 to 5 degrees .

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Zahnbürste mit einem einen Zahnbürstenhals und einen Zahnbürstengriff aufweisenden Zahnbürstenstiel, wobei der Zahnbürstenhals einen dünnstengeligen Teilabschnitt mit konstanter Breite aufweist, der an einen Bürstenkopf anschließt und ein Federelement bildet. Um eine Zahnbürste zu schaffen, die einfach aufgebaut ist und ein Federn des Bürstenkopfes unter Aufrechterhaltung einer guten Führigkeit der Zahnbürste erlaubt, ist vorgesehen, daß der Zahnbürstenhals 15 bis 30 % der Gesamtlänge des Zahnbürstenstiels einnimmt und weniger als halb so breit wie der Zahnbürstengriff an seiner stärksten Stelle ist, der Teilabschnitt eine Länge von 1 bis 3 cm aufweist und daß mindestens der Zahnbürstenhals aus einem Celluloseester besteht. <IMAGE>
