[origin: EP0836940A1] The protective device has a cover (10) which can be turned in the press mounting (G) to protect the cylinder pair (1,2) against access by servicing personnel. When turned away from the cylinder pair, it leaves free access to them. There is one protective cover for each cylinder pair of one printing turret, with alternating U- and N-bridging elements one above the other. The turning axes (11,21) of the protective covers (10,20) are within the region of the turret bounded by the external circumference of the plate cylinder.
