[origin: EP0836999A1] The labelling machine has a fixed magazine (3) which feeds the label stack to the take-off mechanism (9) which applies adhesive and which moves each label to the labelling position. Fresh labels are supplied from a tray magazine at the rear of the fixed magazine. A servo slider (7) pushes the fresh stack into the fixed magazine. The tray magazines are moved on a second slider transversely to the labelling feed. The magazine slider feed holds at least one full magazine tray in a ready position (A) and moves empty trays into output positions (C,D). When the label feed slider (7) has pushed all the labels out of the tray a magazine changing action replaces the empty tray with the next full tray while the labelling process continues by taking labels from the buffer stock in the fixed magazine.
