[origin: EP0837012A1] The cigarette packet is in the form of a box with a hinged lid. It consists of a box part (12), a lid (13) hinged to it and a collar (35) in the box part. The box part and/or the lid have recesses (52,53) in them. These recesses are closed on the side facing the cigarette block (45). The recesses are closed by regions of the front wall of the collar and the inner flap of the lid. Each recess may be closed by a cover which can be separated out from the box part or the lid. The cover may have a separation cut and perforation line in the region of a grip tab.
