[origin: EP0837282A2] The tube sections (3) forming the prefabricated chimney are socket tubes with the sockets formed at the upper ends. The socket of each socket tube is gripped from below by a support ring (6) which is secured by radially projecting support arms to the surface of the enclosing brickwork (1). The support arms are angled at their outer ends. The angled sections are designed to engage in recesses in the face of the enclosing brickwork.
