[origin: EP0838420A2] Adjacent, spaced apart adjustment elements (7-10) are positioned on one side of a web of paper and move to and fro in the same direction as the web of paper. Counter adjustment elements (14-16) are spaced apart and move separately or together to and fro next to one another on the opposite side of the web of paper. The adjustment and counter adjustment elements face each other so that the adjustment elements point into the space (a) between the counter adjustment elements which point into the space (a) between the adjustment elements.
