Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0838542A1] In the electrolytic pickling of metal strips, in particular, consisting of special steels, titanium, aluminium and nickel, the electric current passes through the strip in an indirect manner, that is, with an electric-ally conductive contact between the strip (2) and the electrodes (15, 16). The method is improved by the strip being transported vertically and that an electrolyte liquid (3) is introduced between the strip and the electrodes. Also claimed is an apparatus for implementation of the proposed method.
