Abstract (en)

An actuator for a brake device includes a reciprocating piston assembly for actuating the brake device. The piston assembly has first and second working areas, and hydraulic or pneumatic fluid may be delivered to either or both of the areas to provide first and second torque ranges of the actuator. <IMAGE>
