Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0839471A1] The container consists of a base (1) with a hinged lid (2) which has an inner mirror (2'). The base has a recess (3) to receive a holder (4) of the cosmetic product (5), the recess having a cylindrical outer surface with threaded sections spaced at regular intervals. An intermediate plate (7) fits over the recess and has an aperture to receive a locking disc (10) which has a collar with threaded sections (6) to engage with those on the outside of the recess so that it fits without axial play in the plate aperture. On the opposite side to the collar the locking disc has a recess (13) for a cosmetic applicator (14); it also has an indicator to show its open and closed positions. The inside of the disc has a seal (15) in the form of a ring or plate, made e.g. from an aluminium/polyethylene foam complex.
