[origin: EP0839494A2] A vacuum cleaner has a dust chamber (2) with a lid (3) in a housing (1) and inside the dust chamber is something (12) to hold a dust bag which, when the bag is missing, adopts a position that blocks the closing of the lid and that, when the bag is present, can move against a restoring force into a release position. On the inside of the lid facing the dust chamber is provided a structure (4) which works with the dust bag holder to block the lid's closing path. This structure is a sealing rib. On the inside of the lid a small pipe union(8) is provided. The lid and the dust bag holder pivot about two parallel axes.
