[origin: EP0839649A2] The transfer drum (1) comprises a support surface with surface-covers and which is positioned on its periphery. A closed support surface (11) is interchangeable with the support surface. Pointed support elements (4) make up the support surface, and the surface-covers (11) are each changed between an operating and non-operating position. A locking element (19) fixes the surface covering in a non-operating position inside the periphery of the transfer circumference (U) of the drum and consists of a locking lever with a thrust edge (21) brought into contact with a rotatably mounted roller (17). A restoring spring (23) is supported on the locking lever.
