Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0839938A1] To cut the weft inserted into the shed of a gripper loom, two cutters are operated by separate drives and controlled according to the position of the gripper within the weaving cycle. Also claimed is a gripper loom with a separate linear drive (22,23) for each cutter blade (24,25). A control system operates each drive (22,23) according to the position of the gripper head (16).
