Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0839950A2] To deposit substances in a moving fibre web, they are added to the pulp in or in front of the stock inlet of a papermaking machine, at different points across the width of the stock inlet. At least at one delivery point, the substances are delivered at intermittent intervals. Preferably the substance feed, at different points, gives the cross section of the web. At least one of the substances is a liquid, such as a dye, and at least some substances are powders. At least some of the added substances are solids. The feeds of the substances are controlled to set the delivered vols. and the delivery duration times.
