Abstract (en)
A barrier for passive protection against the spread of flames or heat, comprising a casing internally forming at least one compartment (4) sealed with respect to the outside environment and containing an intumescent substance (1). The substance (1) can be released externally in the presence of flames or heat that break the casing. <IMAGE>
