Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0840266A1] The apparatus has a transmitter (4) which transmits at least a periodic interrogation signal into the interrogation zone (3). The interrogation signal stimulates the security element (2) to transmit an identification signal. THe apparatus also has a receiver (5) which receives the identification signal. A computer/control unit (7) analyses the signals received by the receiver (5). When the security element is identified an alarm is triggered. The computer/control unit (7) displays the signals received within a predetermined time span (tp). The system uses the received signals to determine whether, and during which period, interference signals appear in the received signals. The determined interference signals are removed from the received signals.
