Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0841093A2] Closed laboratory vessel (1) to contain small samples of 0.2-0.5 ml, and especially for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology, is tubular with a lower base (2) and an upper opening (5), and a cover (7) to give a sealed closure at the opening (5). An integrated strip hinge (12) links the vessel (1) and cover (7) together. A support (20) holds and stabilises the cover (7) in an intermediate position between a setting at 180 degrees from the vessel opening (5) when swung open and the closed position in the opening.
