[origin: EP0841428A1] Condition indicator for domestic electrical appliances in which an electrical heating element (1) is controlled by a thermostat (2) and a selector for the required temperature has an electrical or electronic monitoring circuit (8) branched in parallel with the thermostat and comprising a controller (4) connected to a visual or sound indicator and designed to switch off the heater if the selected temperature is exceeded. The controlled can incorporate a thyristor or relay and is connected to an interruptor which is linked mechanically to the temperature selector.
