Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0841439A1] The connector has a rectangular insulating body (11) through which reinforcement bars pass. These bars are in pairs one above the other, and are secured either side of the body in end plates (12) made from a rustproof material. The bars nearest the floor plate are divided into sections (13), and are parted off at the side of one end plates furthest from the joint seam (7), where they have screwed ends to engage anchors. The bars can be enclosed in rustproof sleeves (131) which pass through the end plates, with the space between the bars and sleeves being filled with a hardening material to form a core. The bars may be steel bars as used in building work, with screwed ends protruding from the sleeves.
