Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0841461A1] Each slideway of the shutter assembly is made from two components (1, 2), e.g. in the form of aluminium or PVC extrusions. One of the components (1) is fixed to the opening and has apertures (1c) to receive matching members on the blind/shutter housing, while the other (2) acts as a cover and has channels (2d) which match similar channels (2g) on the first component and act as guides for the articulated slats of the panel. The first slideway component has a basic L-shaped cross-section with two sides (1a, 1b) at right angles to one another, one of which ends in a channel (1g) for a seal and faces a similar channel on the second component. The second component has inward-facing ribs (2b, 2c) to engage with matching surfaces on the first component, and holes for fixing screws.
