[origin: EP0841723A2] The in-line electrical connector has two main parts in the form of a plug Ä3Ü and a socket Ä4Ü both of which have moulded sleeves Ä7,8Ü that are formed around grooves in the plug and socket bodies and so resist axial force. The pins of the plug are formed as metal pressings Ä10Ü and latch into axial holes. The socket contact bushes are also formed as pressings that fit into axial holes. The socket has a pair of finger pressure clamping elements Ä19Ü that engage lugs on the plug to resist axial force.
