[origin: EP0841759A1] The method involves producing, before transmission, a reception calibration table for each carrier frequency which represents the different contributions from different reception sensors in the transmission direction. For each carrier transmission frequency, a transmission calibration table is formed to represent the different contributions from the different sensors. A frequency transposition operator is calculated which is used to transform a reception table into a transmission table. Statistical data are calculated on transmission for a number of signal frame samples for different interference signals received from different sensors. An optimal spatial weighting is determined for the frequency transposition operator statistical data and a criteria for strengthening the useful signal and attenuating interference is determined. The contributions to the digital signal from the different sensors are weighted and transmitted, using the weightings obtained for the optimal spatial weighting.
