[origin: WO9745707A1] The invention relates to an ultrasound flowmeter for flowing media which has a measuring tube (1) and two ultrasound transducers (2) arranged to be offset in relation to each other in the direction of flow and fitted to have contact with the flowing medium in the transducer pockets (3) of the measuring tube (1). The ultrasound flowmeter according to the invention eliminates the disadvantages and problems, originating from turbulence (4) generated by the transducer pockets (3), of known ultrasound flowmeters, in that the entrance to the transducer pockets (3) is provided with a grid (7) having mesh (6).
