Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9706540A1] An essentially cylindrical coil (3) may be formed on a substantially straight arm of a magnetic circuit (1) having a very short air gap (2). For this purpose, a wire guide (6) including a wire inlet portion (8) and a wire outlet portion (9) as well as an elongate intermediate portion (11) is arranged to rotate about the axis (4) of the coil (3) and reciprocate in the axial direction of the coil. The height of the longitudinal cross section of the intermediate portion of the wire guide is smaller than the length of the air gap, over a distance no smaller than the length of the coil, whereby said intermediate portion is longitudinally and transversely insertable through the air gap.
