[origin: EP0842713A1] The equipment consists of a sorting section with a series of guides which directing the products towards a number of different outlets according to predetermined quality criteria. A number of channels (40A,40B,40C) are filled with a liquid and extend horizontally. At least two of the channels lie at different levels and partly overlap. The channels are divided into a number of sub-assemblies, with the channels in the same sub-assembly lying side by side and on the same level, and the channels in each of the sub-assemblies covering the same ground area. Each one also has recovery and accumulator zones.
