Abstract (en)
The tank consists of a base, a side (3) e.g. cylindrical in shape with a right-angled reinforcing rim (9), a radial ring (10) and a cover (1) which is connected to the rim. The rim and cover are connected by two thin conical shells (12, 14), each attached by its outer edge to the radial ring and by its inner edge to the cover or tank side, using low-strength welds (S1, S2) about 3 mm thick. The cover can also rest on a frame structure (7) supported by the horizontal rib of the rim.

Le réservoir possède un taux de frangibilité très bas. La jonction du toit (1) sur la robe (3) du réservoir se fait par l'intermédiaire de deux coques tronconiques (12, 14) reliées par un anneau radial (10) au moyen de soudures (S1, S2) fragilisées. La coque tronconique inférieure (12) est fixée à la rive (9) de la robe (3). La coque tronconique supérieure (14) est fixée au toit (1). La structure charpentée (7) du toit (1) repose directement sur cette rive (9). Application aux réservoirs de liquides explosifs occasionnels et d'hydrocarbures neufs et existants. <IMAGE>
