[origin: EP0843096A1] The delivery pump (3) has rotatively driven displacement components, and in particular is a gearwheel pump. It moves fuel from a suction chamber connectable to the storage tank into a pressure chamber at least indirectly connectable with the internal combustion engine. The delivery pump (3) forms a structural unit with a pump (5) delivering air. The suction side of the air pump is connected with a braking force amplifier of the road vehicle for production of a vacuum. There is a coupling device (52) between the fuel delivery pump and the air pump, which, dependent upon the vacuum to be produced, separates the air pump from the fuel pump.
