[origin: EP0844204A2] The handling includes a carrier frame which forms a loop tower in which web is fed in loops about deflection rollers on upper and lower roller bridges (3,7) stacked vertically and which are synchronously moved together and apart. The roller bridge weights compensate each other as counter weights. Each roller bridge has an associated pulley (12). The fixed roller (13) of one pulley is mounted above the upper roller bridge (3) and that of the other pulley below the lower roller bridge (7) on the carrier frame. The free rollers (14) are mounted on the roller bridges and the cables (15) for both pulleys are fed to driven cable drums (16).
