[origin: DE19648640C1] The strip fits in the grooved ends of adjacent leaves of a multi-leaf door. It has a head (7) and a foot (4). As the leaves (1,2) hinge towards each other, the head is inserted in the groove (10) in one leaf end. Its shape is such that over the entire hinging angle of roughly 67 deg , no gap is left on the outside into which the fingers can penetrate. The foot can be fitted into the tongue-type end of the other leaf. The head can be of plastics, forming a hollow or half-open profile. A sealing strip on the head can run in the lengthwise direction.

Zwischen zwei benachbarte Torelemente (1,2) eines Sektionaltorblattes, das aus mehreren aufeinanderfolgend, aneinander mit Scharnieren verbundenen Paneelen besteht, wird die Schutzleiste für Sektionaltorblatt (3) mit Fuß (4) zwischen die vorhandenen Randfahnen (5,6) des Paneels (2) eingebracht. Beim Verschwenken der einzelnen Paneele (1,2) gegeneinander verhindert Kopf (7) der Schutzleiste für Sektionaltorblatt (3) als Verlängerung der Federseite (14) des Paneels (2) die Möglichkeit des Eingreifens mit den Fingern. <IMAGE>
