Abstract (en)
Gear pump or Moineau pump has two helicoidal gears inside each other. The internal gear is the rotor and has a one tooth less than the external gear which is fixed (the stator). The rotor and stator are made of materials with a thermal expansion coefficient such that the play between the two is approximately constant over a temperature range of between 15 and 300 degrees C.

Pompe à engrenages, ou pompe Moineau, comportant deux engrenages hélicoïdaux intérieurs l'un à l'autre, l'engrenage hélicoïdal interne qui est rotatif (rotor) ayant une dent de moins que l'engrenage hélicoïdal externe qui est fixe (stator), caractérisée en ce que le rotor et le stator sont constitués en des matériaux respectifs ayant des coefficients de dilatation thermique respectifs conduisant à des dilatations respectives du rotor et du stator telles qu'un jeu approximativement constant soit maintenu entre le rotor et le stator sur une plage de température ambiante comprise entre environ 15°C et environ 300°C.
