Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0844397A1] Gear pump or Moineau pump has two helicoidal gears inside each other. The internal gear is the rotor and has a one tooth less than the external gear which is fixed (the stator). The rotor and stator are made of materials with a thermal expansion coefficient such that the play between the two is approximately constant over a temperature range of between 15 and 300 degrees C.
