[origin: EP0844595A2] The device has a sensor part (5) with a sensor housing covered by a focusing device (31). The housing contains at least one infrared sensor and an electrical circuit. The sensor(s) and focusing device can be rotated with respect to the sensor housing. The focusing device has a sleeve body (46) rotatably guided in an annular fitting of the sensor housing and with adjustment elements (68,71) on its periphery for adjustment of the components mounted inside the sensor housing.
