[origin: DE19649979C1] An electrodynamic drive including an armature (4) actuated by means of two coils (2,3) supplied alternately from a voltage source (1), the armature (4) in turn actuating a contact of a switching device In the course of a switching event through the armature a first auxiliary contact arrangement (6,7,9,10) on one side separates its driving coil (3,2) from the voltage source (1) and on the other side, a second auxiliary contact arrangement (6,7,9,10) is actuated and prepares a coil (2,3) for activating a subsequent switching event. The auxiliary contact arrangement actuated by the armature (4) comprises sliding contacts (6,7,9,10) which are closed by the armature and with it form a current path.
