[origin: EP0845352A1] The adjuster comprises a printing form cylinder incorporated in the printing mechanism cylinder with an exchangeable printing form, with one of the printing mechanism cylinders stationarily accommodated in the printing mechanism. A gap (44) penetrated by a material strip (1) between the surfaces of the printing mechanism cylinder (6,7) is maintained by an additional positioning unit (25), independently of the positions (45,46) of the further printing mechanism cylinders (5,8). A positioning unit (21) produces the upper gap (45) formed in a first position of the upper printing mechanism cylinder (5) to the upper transmission cylinder (6) independently of the position of this latter cylinder (6,7). The additional positioning unit can be part of the upper printing unit (3) or the lower printing unit.
