[origin: EP0845524A2] Activators for (preferably inorganic) peroxy compounds in aqueous detergent solutions for hard surfaces, especially crockery, comprise alkali or ammonium tungstate and/or molybdate compounds. Also claimed are (i) the use of these compounds in detergent solutions for cleaning hard surfaces, especially crockery, for bleaching coloured stains, (ii) a cleaning method for hard surfaces, especially crockery, using these aqueous detergent solutions which may also contain other cleaning agents, (iii) detergents for cleaning hard surfaces, containing combinations of these compounds with polycarboxylates and/or enzymes and (iv) the same detergents for cleaning crockery, especially for use in dishwashers.
