[origin: EP0845550A1] A melt spinning method for a number of continuous high polymer filaments involves passing each filament through a feed with a number of feed units for the filament tension, located on the filament movement paths. On reaching the winders, each filament is subjected to a given draw tension. Also claimed is an apparatus with a filament feed system (13) to apply a given tension to each filament (12) in front of each winding station (41), in the direction of filament travel.
