[origin: EP0845566A2] Each unit incorporates a sliding lock component (5), which can be operated by a handle and is mounted in the frame (2) of the window. The part (5) engages with a fixed matching component (6) which is mounted in the outer frame. At least two units, which are off-set from one another, are used between window and outer frame. The off-set can be at right angles to the plane of the window or parallel to this plane. The off-set can be both at right angles and parallel to the plane of the window. Several sets of units can be mounted at various positions around the window frame.
