Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0845579A1] The cladding comprises panels (25) which have fitting holes (37) spaced over their area to fit over studs (13) anchored into the tunnel wall (43). One side of each panel has a recessed profile around each hole to locate a tapering profile elastic grip (17) fitted over the stud. A second elastic grip (19) is fitted over the stud on the other side of the panel to secure the panel. The grips are secured by threaded fastener (21) screwed into the end of the stud. The inner grip locates on a thrust grip on the stud. The fitting holes in the panels are wider than the studs to provide a non-critical alignment. The panels are made of a sandwich construction.
